A team of mutants overpowered one massive mutant monster at the box office during the Memorial Day holiday. Fox-Marvel's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" debuted with $91 million beating last weekend's No. 1 hit, the Warner Bros. sci-fi adventure "Godzilla," which earned $31.4 million in its second weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday. "Days of Future Past" is the second-highest opener in the "X-Men" franchise after "X-Men: The Last Stand" debuted with $123 million in 2006.
The Obama administration has deported fewer immigrants over the last 12 months than at any time since 2006. That's according to internal figures obtained by the Associated Press, which reported that deportations of immigrants with criminal convictions have fallen to the lowest levels since President Obama took office in 2009. The figures fly in the face of Obama's earlier pledge to deport undocumented immigrants with criminal records. However, the share of criminal immigrants deported in relation to overall immigrants deported rose slightly--from 56% to 59%. Obama has been called the “Deporter-in-Chief” by immigrant advocates. At the same time, the President is derided by conservative critics--in particular GOP presidential candidate frontrunner Donald Trump--who believe he isn’t being tough enough.

You may remember Selena taking time off from her demanding career and canceling the Australian leg of her Stars Dance world tour back in January 2014.
According to The Guardian, Supreme court tensions over capital punishment out in the open again. Wednesday rival justices clashed over a series of gruesome murders in Kansas that could overturn two-thirds of the US state’s death row cases. The related cases before the court, Kansas v Gleason and Kansas v Carr, challenge the Kansas state supreme court’s decision to overturn death sentences on the grounds that inadequate jury instructions were given. Due to language used by judges in the original trials, jurors may not have realized they were able to consider mitigating circumstances that were not proven beyond reasonable doubt. If the lower court decision is upheld, it could see two brothers, Reginald and Jonathan Carr, who murdered five people in 2000 in one of Wichita’s most notorious crime sprees, removed from death row.
