Protestors in Chicago descended on high-end shopping hubs along Michigan Avenue, carrying “Justice for Laquan” posters and chanting “16 shots!” The demonstrators were referring to the number of bullets police Officer Jason Van Dyke fired into Laquan McDonald in less than 15 seconds. 150 demonstrators marched on Michigan Avenue all night, protesting Chicago's racial and financial divide. Door to door with high end shops, Mag Mile has the third most expensive rent in the country, following Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and New York City’s Fifth Avenue. Protestors are planning to shut down the Avenue on Black Friday, one of the biggest shopping days of the year. There are several protests in the works and gatherings start on the Avenue at 11am.

Nacros, the Netflix original docu-series debuted in August to rave reviews. The show tells the story of Pablo Escobar's rise to power. The show blends live action shot on location in Colombia with archival footage and meticulous research to re-create the 1970s, '80s and early '90s. Narcos chronicles a period when Escobar's Medellin cartel controlled most of the cocaine that entered the U.S. and Europe. It was a period when Escobar personally killed 1,000 police officers and bribed countless more government officials, judges and politicians. Boyd Holbrook portrays real-life DEA agent Steve Murphy, and Game of Thrones' Pedro Pascal plays his Colombian counterpart, Javier Pena.
Fire crews and decontamination teams attended a major mosque in Brussels close to the European Union headquarters on Thursday. They were called when a suspect powder was found that was feared to be anthrax. Reuters journalists saw about a dozen emergency vehicles, including police, outside the Islamic and Cultural Centre of Belgium. It's a large Saudi-established institution that includes a mosque. It's also situated roughly 600 feet from the European Commission. Belgian media said envelopes of white powder were found. Since the Paris attacks on Nov. 13th by French and Belgian Islamic State militants, there have been reports of threats against mosques used by Belgium's half million Muslims. Among them, some are coming from an unknown group calling itself Christian State.
