The NHL is in the midst of a record-setting postseason. After last night’s double-overtime Chicago victory in the Western Conference Finals, this year’s playoffs will include at least 91 games. The NBA is similarly on pace to set a record of its own. Through Wednesday night, the NBA playoffs have featured 81 games, and the league will have played at least 89 in total. That’s a huge deal not only for fans, who have been spoiled with the seemingly endless postseason action, but also for the leagues and their network partners.
