A key employee leading Google 's efforts to beam Internet access from the satellites has abruptly left the company, according to two people with knowledge of the matter. Greg Wyler had been heading up a Google project to beam Internet access from satellites to unwired parts of the globe. It is unclear what Wyler’s departure means for that project, in which Google had been planning to spend more than $1 billion according to people familiar with it.
