A storied former U.S. Navy aircraft carrier is on its final voyage Friday, a slow voyage from Rhode Island to a scrapyard in Texas. The former USS Saratoga, a part of the Navy's carrier fleet from 1956 to 1994, is being towed down the Atlantic Seaboard by tugboat at about 7 mph, according to a report from the Maritime Executive. The Navy says, the voyage is expected to take about 16 days.
Police have arrested a man in Boston, hours after shooting dead a terror suspect whom they say he knew. Earlier, 26 year old Usaama Rahim was killed in parking lot, while under surveillance by counter-terrorism officers. Two law enforcement officials told the Boston Globe newspaper that the men had been plotting to behead police officers, but that has not been confirmed.

Five years after it debuted in theaters, Disney's Tangled is coming to TV. And before you ask: Yes, Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi will be back, too.Disney Channel announced its plans for the series, set for debut in 2017, on Wednesday. Tangled originally hit theaters back in 2010, with Moore voicing the role of Rapunzel and Levi providing the voice of love interest Eugene/Flynn Rider. It brought in $68.7 million on opening weekend, and went on to earn $200 million domestically and more than $593 million globally, earning it the distinction of being one of Walt Disney Animation Studios' biggest releases ever. The movie's music — particularly duet "I See the Light," from Disney legend Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater — also earned Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. Both Menken and Slater are set to pen original songs for the series.
Apple Inc said it is recalling Beats Pill XL portable wireless speakers due to a fire hazard from overheating batteries. The iPhone maker will recall about 222,000 speakers in the United States and about 11,000 in Canada, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said on Wednesday. the CPSC said in a statement, Apple has received eight reports of overheating speakers, . The company said the recall does not affect any other Beats or Apple products.
