The Emmys broadcast hadn’t even started but Donald Trump wasn’t waiting: He was already trashing host Seth Meyers. Trump took to Twitter on Monday, hours before Meyers told his first joke and wrote "That Seth Meyers is hosting the Emmy Awards is a total joke. He is very awkward with almost no talent. Marbles in his mouth!" Trump has reportedly been peeved at Meyers ever since Meyers hosted the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner and mocked Trump for his hair and his plans to run for president.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, days after parting ways with NBC, Donald Trump is taking a shot at the network's entertainment chairman, Bob Greenblatt. On Wednesday, Trump sarcastically praised Greenblatt as a "very loyal guy" on social media. He shared the contents of a letter that he said the NBC head recently sent him about Trump's Las Vegas hotel. After going into detail about the staff, amenities and location of the hotel, Greenblatt closed out the correspondence by singling out Trump. "Your generosity means a lot to me and all my friends," Greenblatt wrote. "I can't thank you enough." NBC announced they were terminating their business relationship with the real estate mogul on Monday, over what they called Trump's "derogatory statements" about immigrants. In response, Trump issued a statement in which he called the network "weak" and "foolish" and threatened legal action.
Andy Warhol's "One Dollar", the first in his dollar bill series, fetched 20.9 million pounds at Sotheby's on Wednesday, the top-seller in what the auction house said was its highest ever total sales for an auction of contemporary art in London. However, the auction's star attraction, Francis Bacon's "Study for a Pope I", which had been estimated at 25 to 35 million pounds, went unsold after bids failed to reach the reserve price.
Exactly one week after being arrested for assaulting a groundskeeper conducting repairs on his house, Rick Ross has been released from jail. According to TMZ, Ross posted a $2 million bond for his release earlier today. The label boss scrounged together the funds from three different sources: a million dollars in equity from a Georgia property formerly owned by Evander Holyfield, $500,000 from a bail bondsman, and another half a mill in cash. Ross is still facing charges of assault, kidnapping, and aggravated battery stemming from an incident earlier this month in which he reportedly pistol-whipped a live-in groundskeeper for inviting friends over for a birthday celebration. The MMG head will have to wear an ankle-monitor now that he's out and his lawyers offered up the entirety of the Georgia property listed in the bond to the county if he intimidates or threatens any witnesses to the crime.
Chris Brown has had it with baby mama Nia Guzman' s child support and custody demands, so he's asking a judge to lay down the law once and for all. Chris and Nia have been at war over 1-year-old Royalty . TMZ reports that Chris just filed legal documents in Houston to establish paternity. That will give him the right to fight Nia over support and custody. Nia's demanding $15k a month in child support--far more than Chris says is fair. She claims he's been paying $2,500 a month. Chris wants a judge to set the figure, which he's confident will be closer to his number than hers.
Actors Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Willow Shields are the stars of the blockbuster film franchise "The Hunger Games. And for them, exploring a new exhibition about the world depicted in the movies was like taking a trip down memory lane. "The Hunger Games: The Exhibition" has hundreds of costumes, props, photos and interactive displays. It opened on Wednesday at the Discovery Times Square museum in New York City. The exhibition brings fans into the dystopian, post-apocalyptic nation of Panem depicted in the films. 24-year-old Lawrence plays the feisty teenage heroine Katniss Everdeen in the action-packed survival films. She said of the exhibition, "It was really emotional. I didn't expect that. There's a lot of stuff I'd like to keep." The final film, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2," is due to be released on Nov. 20th.
