The World Bank confirmed on August 4 that they were releasing funds to assist West African countries affected by the current spread of the Ebola virus. “The World Bank group will raise as much as $200m to support Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leona in their efforts to battle the Ebola epidemic that has broken out in these three countries,” said Jin Yong Kim, the current World Bank president.
