Cosmetics have not been flying off the shelves for Revlon. The maker of hair color and makeup saw its profits decline in the second quarter. Profit came in at only 34 cents a share. That's below estimates and far below the 47 cents a share one year ago. Sales grew about 3% to close to $500 million. Sales of Revlon's professional products grew about 7% around the world while everyday consumers bought just a little more. Professional and consumer combined, sales in the U.S. grew faster than sales in other countries. The company also said that consumers in the U.S. were buying the ColorSilk hair color and SinfulColors color cosmetics.
