O mundo do judô está comovido com as informações de que atletas da equipe olímpica feminina do Japão eram agredidas pelo treinador regularmente.O escândalo veio à tona após 15 judocas denunciarem o comportamento do técnico Ryuji Sonoda ao Comitê Olímpico Japonês no mês passado. As agressões, segundo relatos, tinham até golpes com espadas de bambu, usadas em algumas artes marciais. O presidente da Federação de Judô admitiu que Sonoda e outros treinadores confessaram ter maltratado fisicamente as atletas. Mas se for o caso, garantimos que nossa reação vai ser severa".Os agressores até agora foram advertidos pela organização sob ameaça de sanções mais fortes se os fatos se repetirem.
