Violent clashes broke out during an anti-war protest in the West Bank city of Bethlehem on August 22. A Palestinian youth, who was shot with live fire during the chaos, was in a critical condition after having his hand amputated, according to a medical official at Beit Jala hospital. Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition, tear gas and water canons to disperse demonstrators, who had rallied by the hundreds to march in solidarity with Gaza.The conflict broke out between protesters and Israeli soldiers near Rachel’s Tomb at the northern entrance of Bethlehem, which has been a frequent site of clashes. This footage captures the movements of soldiers near the Israeli separation wall in Bethlehem.
