The US State Department’s Deputy Spokesperson, Marie Harf, said that the U.S had received intelligence that “Russia is firing artillery across the border into Ukrainian territory.” Harf made the comments during an exchange with the Associated Press’ Matthew Lee at a State Department press briefing on July 24.“We have new evidence that the Russians intend to deliver heavier and more powerful rocket launchers to the separatist forces in Ukraine, and have evidence that Russia is firing artillery from within Russia to attack Ukrainian military positions,” she said. Harf did not divulge any further information when pushed by Lee. Credit: US Department of State
