Hurricane Marie sends huge waves to Southern California

Surfers enjoy giant waves at the Wedge, a famous surf spot in Newport Beach, California, where some of the storm-driven swells were reported to hit 25 feet in height. The conditions were generated by Hurricane Marie, which had built momentum off the Baja coast. The swells generated by the hurricane were believed to be the largest seen in years in the region.
