After Craig Ferguson takes his bow on The Late Late Show, things might look a little different on CBS late night. "We’re looking at it through a very different lens," said CBS president Nina Tassler during the Television Critics Association press tour Thursday morning. "We’re trying to look at the entire landscape. We're also looking in terms of format. There certainly is a knee-jerk reaction to go for more traditional, behind-the-desk interview format, but who knows." Ferguson, who has hosted the program since 2005, announced his departure back in April, on the heels of David Letterman's retirement announcement. Stephen Colbert is set to take over for Letterman next year. Ferguson's replacement has not yet been named, but Tassler added, they're exploring all possibilities — including people from outside comedy.
