Update: Leonard Knight died Feb. 10 at the age of 82. In his honor, we look back at the mountain and community he created. Leonard Knight lived alone in the California desert for twenty-eight years, building a mountain to share his message: "Love God, love Jesus, and love the people." When his health failed, his friends rallied to save his life. He recently returned to the mountain to see how a new generation of caretakers have preserved his life's work.
