Ray J plays to win ... just ask the poor woman who got knocked on her rear end during a charity softball game this weekend. It all went down at NBA star JaVale McGee 's 1st Annual JugLife Celebrity Softball game on the UCLA campus. Ray J was trying to stretch a double into a triple and instead of sliding ... he ran right through the girl playing third base. At least it was for a good cause -- a program to get clean drinking water in Uganda.
He was 9 years old when he felt the earth tremble for the first time. He'd been out in a field, grazing his goats on wild grass below Nepal's snow-covered peaks. Fattha Bahadur Rana says, "The earth started shaking." At 90 years old, Rana is now the oldest man in this demolished farming village not far from the epicenter of the deadly April 25 earthquake. He added, "I was a kid, I was scared. I saw everyone screaming, and I heard a loud roar. I thought that a plane had crashed from the sky,"
While this number could very well change after official box office numbers come in, the early estimates are now calling for Avengers: Age of Ultron to finish with a $195 million opening weekend at the domestic box office. The estimates come from Exhibitor Relations, who also reports the Saturday box office numbers were upwards of $ 60 million. If these numbers hold up, then it means Avengers: Age of Ultron will not beat the record-setting opening weekend box office of the original Avengers movie. The Avengers opened to $207.4 million at the domestic box office back in 2012.
The stars shone ringside for the boxing blockbuster between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao Saturday, but pay-per-view demand dealt a blow pre-bout to fans watching at home. The main event was delayed about 30 minutes because of problems pay-per-view customers experienced while trying to order the fight. The pay-per-view price went for $100. Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications and Cox Communications reported problems ahead of the main event and DirecTv directed viewers to a troubleshooting website. One frustrated customer tweeted to Time Warner: "Why don't you want my $100? Can you make it any more impossible to legitimately buy the May-Pac fight." The company later acknowledged problems and urged its customers to be patient.
Is it your lifelong dream to meet DJ Quik, get free tickets to a show, and smoke with him? Well it can happen ... all you need to do is tattoo Quik's face on your leg. That's exactly what happened to a fan named Bijon. He tells us he's been listening to Quik since he was a kid, and got the leg tat from tattoo artist Gino Genoski, hoping it would lead to an encounter with his hero. It worked, and Quik called Bijon personally to invite him to a show, do a meet and greet, give him a signed CD ... and of course ... smoke him out.
Despite dire need by millions, earthquake-hit Nepal on Sunday was forced to close its only international airport to big airplanes flying in relief supplies and aid workers because the only runway can't handle the strain of the stream of large aircraft flying in to help. Medium and small-size jets will still be allowed to land, officials said. Birendra Shrestha, the manager of Tribhuwan International Airport, located on the outskirts of Kathmandu, said bigger planes were banned because the runway was deteriorating. He said, The runway was built to handle only medium-size jetliners and not the large military and cargo planes that have been flying to the airport since the magnitude-7.8 earthquake struck.
