The Rajasthan government has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Ltd for a senior citizens' pilgrimage scheme. The scheme will ensure free travel for 25,000 beneficiaries to 11 pilgrimage sites across the country. Puri, Gaya, Rameswaram, Vaishno Devi, Tirupati, Varanasi, Amritsar, Dwarkapuri, Bihar Sharif, Shirdi are among the pilgrim destinations which will be covered under the scheme. The MoU was signed by Principal Secretary Tapesh Panwar and IRCTC Chief Regional Manager (Jaipur) Dr. Rohitashwa.
