Two years later, after three brain surgeries and radiation treatments, he is in remission, and his using his good health to spread a message to young kids: "There's nothing better you can do for someone than be there for them." After surviving his frightening health scare, he says he felt "obligated" to "give back" with a positive message. Proud father Matt says that through the ordeal, Carter was the "calming influence" for his frightened family.
