New Yorkers Urged to Stay Inside Amid Blizzard Warnings

New Yorkers were told to stay inside during a predicted blizzard on January 26. The storm was expected to bring more than 2 feet of snow to New York City. This video shows early snowfall in the Newkirk subway station in Brooklyn.

Mayor Bill de Blasio issued a state of emergency for the city. Non-emergency vehicles will not be allowed on streets after 11pm, and subway service will be limited after 7pm, according to local media.
