Waves From Hurricane Iselle Break on the Big Island Shore

Hurricane Iselle was expected to make landfall on the eastern shore of Hawaii on Thursday, August 8, the first hurricane in 22 years to reach the state. Schools and universities have been closed and emergenecy shelters prepared following forecasts of high winds, heavy rain and a possible storm surge.
