Syriza Supporters Celebrate in Athens After Tsipras' Speech

Outgoing Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras conceded defeat to Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras on Sunday, January 25, after official projections showed the leftist, anti-austerity party in the lead ahead of the ruling conservative party. Official Interior Ministry projections gave the Syriza party 150 seats in Greece’s 300-seat parliament, with 36.5 percent of the vote.
