Snowstorm Prompts Long Queues for Boston Commuters

There were long lines and crowded trains and buses as commuters tried to leave Boston ahead of a blizzard on Monday, January 26. Snow started falling in Boston on Monday, ahead of what could be a historic blizzard in the Northeast.

As much as 3 feet of snow could fall in the Boston area. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker declared a state emergency and imposed a travel ban starting at midnight local time. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh also declared a state of emergency and a parking ban starting at 6pm local time. Cars would be towed from main streets starting at 8pm local time.
