Pro-Union Labour MP Halts Campaign Because of 'Nationalist Mobs'

Jim Murphy, a senior Labour Party MP and campaigner for a ‘no’ vote in Scotland’s upcoming independence referendum, said on August 29 that he was suspending a speaking tour because of what he called the “sinister” threat from “co-ordinated nationalist mobs”.

Murphy said on Twitter that he would be temporarily suspending his 100 Streets tour as he was “awaiting police advice on public safety & guarentees [sic] from @YesScotland to call off their mobs”. Credit: Better Together UK
