Polar Bear's Collar Camera Captures Life on the Arctic Ice

The US Geological Survey compiled this video from raw footage recorded by a female polar bear in the Beaufort Sea. After fitting the bear with a camera equipped radio collar in April, they recorded her interacting with a potential mate, playing with food and swimming under the sea ice. The video is the first ever from a free-ranging polar bear on Arctic sea ice, and will be used to understand polar bear behavior. Credit: YouTube/U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
