Holocaust Memorials Take Place Across Eastern Europe

Countries across Eastern Europe marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27. The day fell on the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp by Soviet forces.

In Tbilisi, Georgia, an art exhibition was organized, while in Chisinau, Moldova, red carnations were laid at the Ghetto Memorial.
