Fishermen Cling to Channel Marker in Choppy Waters Off Darwin

Two fishermen were rescued after their boat capsized in waters north-east of Darwin, Australia, on August 12. According to local media reports, the 21-year-old and 30-year-old men had been diving near the Vernon Islands and discovered that their boat had sank upon resurfacing. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority confirmed that it tasked its Darwin-based Dornier 328 search and rescue aircraft to the scene just after 3pm.
