Dozens Injured in Violent Clashes During Hebron Rally

A pro-Palestinian rally in Hebron turned violent on August 1. The march, held to condemn Israel’s aggression in the Gaza Strip, was greeted by force on Friday. Clashes broke out between Israeli forces and hundreds of protesters, with reports of dozens injured, at least three critically. According to local news reports, Israeli soldiers fired tear gas and live ammunition at the crowd.

The violence came on the same day that a planned 72-hour humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and Hamas collapsed after a few hours.
