The 42-foot yacht was travelling from Stockton, California, to Honolulu when it lost its mast and began taking on water during the storm. The Walkabout’s crew, Ben Nealy, 67, Lee Nealy, 22, and Mike Vanway, 22, were transferred to Matson container ship in a rescue organised by the US Coast Guard. This video features footage from a Coast Guard flyby on August 10.
