Anti-Military Protests Erupt in Alexandria

Thousands of pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters joined anti-military marches in Alexandria on November 28, responding to a nationwide call put forth by an ultra-conservative Islamist group, the Salafist Front. Footage here, posted to a pro-Muslim Brotherhood account, shows a largely female crowd in central Alexandria.

Many of them are holding up four fingers in the “Rabia” sign, associated with a pro-Brotherhood sit-in that was violently dispersed in August 2013. The protesters can be heard chanting: “Sisi, you are Mubarak’s dog, Execution is waiting for you.”
