Wildfires Burn Across Chile's Maule Region

Chilean locals battled wildfires alongside firefighters in the town of Empedrado in the Maule region of Chile on January 23.

The government issued a red alert for Empedrado on January 22 and local reports said evacuations were underway on January 23. In one clip of the first video, a fire truck from the town of Villa Alegre, also in the Maule region, is seen. The uploader said the truck came to help local firefighters in Empedrado and that many of the surrounding communities have been sharing resources as they work to contain the fire.
