United Nations Ebola Coordinator Says Health Workers Need to Stay Vigilant

Those fighting against Ebola in West Africa need to stay vigilant and maintain the drive as success starts, said David Nabarro, special envoy of the secretary-general for ebola virus disease, during a press conference in New York on October 31. Early signs of success are expected, but it the pressure cannot be taken off throughout the region.

Additionally, those who are are helping in the fight shouldn’t be stigmatized, Nabarro said. There’s no scientific basis to restrict their travel or quarantine returning health workers, he said. Credit: YouTube/United Nations
