Thousands of Flags Remember Killed Massachusetts Soldiers

Thousands of flags are flapping in the breeze at Boston Common for Memorial Day weekend. Hundreds of Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund volunteers placed the flags on the hill near the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and the Massachusetts State House on Friday, May 22. Each of the 37,000 flags represents a soldier from Massachusetts who has died in action since the Revolutionary War.
