Super Typhoon Soudelor Is the Strongest Cyclone of 2015

Super Typhoon Soudelor hit the Pacific island of Saipan late on Sunday bringing torrential rain, flooding and high winds. Acting Governor Ralph DLG Torres declared a state of disaster after around 350 people moved to emergency shelters to take refuge from flood water and storm-damaged homes. Saipan is part of the remote Northern Mariana Islands, which is a Commonwealth of the United States, and lies around 135 miles north of Guam.

Forecasters warned that Super Typhoon Soudelor will track towards Japan’s Okinawa prefecture and Taiwan with landfall expected later this week.
