South Australia Police Update Media on the Death of Adelaide Crows Coach Phil Walsh

The Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh died at his Somerset Park home in the early hours of Friday morning. Walsh had sustained ‘multiple stabs wounds’, his wife had a leg injury and a knife was recovered from the scene, according to Superintendent Des Bray of the South Australia Police speaking at a press conference.

Walsh’s 26-year-old son was arrested for murder at an address in Glenelg East and has been detained for psychiatric assessment. Ambulance crews treated the former professional former Australian rules footballer, who started coaching the Adelaide Crows in 2014, but he died at his Bungey Avenue home.
