Rebel Group Seizes National Security Premises

A coalition of armed and Islamist groups seized large parts of the government-held city of Idlib on March 28, effectively taking control of the province. Activists reported that rebel groups, including Al Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra, claimed the city after an intense offensive that lasted several days. Rebels from Ahrar Al Sham reportedly freed 53 detainees who were held in the National Security headquarters by pro-regime forces.

The footage shows militants breaking cell locks with their rifles and releasing people from inside.
