Officer Points Semi-Automatic at Protesters and Media

Protests in the St Louis suburb of Ferguson continued on the night of August 19, following the police shooting of an unarmed black teen on August 9. On Tuesday evening, a police officer was captured on video pointing a semi-automatic weapon at protesters and members of the media. In another livestream, the officer can be heard telling bystanders, “I will fucking kill you. Get back.”

The officer can be heard responding with, “Go fuck yourself,” to those who asked for his name. In reaction to the incident, Twitter users shared information about the policeman and discussed the heavy-handed approach under the hashtag #OfficerGoFuckYourself.
