Major Praises Cameron's 'long-Term' View on Economy

Former Conservative Prime Minister Sir John Major backed David Cameron in a campaign video on Sunday, saying Cameron had “stuck rigidly” to his “long-term economic plan” since coming to power in 2010. Major said, “it would have been very easy to deviate from that and seek short-term popularity.” During the election campaign the Conservative Party has been criticised by its opponents for “unfunded spending commitments” made in its manifesto.
