Emergency Services Launch Recovery Operation After Germanwings Crash

A recovery operation began in the French Alps after an Airbus A320 carrying 144 passengers and six crew members crashed on Tuesday, March 24. Speaking shortly after reports of the crash emerged, French president Francois Hollande said it was unlikely anyone would have survived the crash.
