Cuba and US to Restore Embassies

The United States and Cuba reached a deal to re-open embassies in each other’s capitals on July 1. Cuban officials released photos and a video on July 1 of US officials – including Jeffrey DeLaurentis, head of the US mission – delivering a letter from US President Barack Obama announcing the deal. The embassies are expected to re-open on July 20 in Washington and Havana.
