Coalition Targets IS 'Tactical Units' in Iraq and Syria

The US Central Command continued to lead air strikes against Islamic State (IS) strongholds in parts of Syria and Iraq throughout April. The US is also developing programs to build the capacity of local armed forces to face the militant group, according to a Centcom statement on April 26.

Aerial footage is described as showing an air strike on an IS-controlled site near Al Asad airbase on April 20, where the militant group made recent advances.
