Cars Submerged by Long Island Flood

Torrential rain resulted in severe floods in Long Island on the morning of August 13. Floods along expressways caused delays in the morning commute and submerged cars were abandoned at some locations. Several routes were shut down, according to the Weather Channel, including parts of the Long Island Expressway and the Southern and Northern State Parkways.
