Canadian Liberals Kick Off Formal Campaign Season

The Liberal Party of Canada started the official federal election campaign season on August 2 by posting a new campaign video, which features Leader Justin Trudeau.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, a conservative, asked the 41st Parliament to be dissolved on August 2, which kicked off the formal federal campaign season, according to Canadian media. It will be a long campaign season with the election scheduled for October 19.
