Cameron Promises Seven-Day NHS by 2020

Prime Minister David Cameron said all hospitals in England will provide a “truly seven-day” National Health Service by 2020 if the Conservative government gets its way. Cameron made the announcement in Manchester on the weekend of his party’s spring forum.

“For years it’s been too hard to access the NHS out of hours,” he told delegates at the forum, “And the truth is that you are actually more likely to die if you turn up at the hospital at the weekend.”
