Louis C.K. will return to host 'SNL' for the second time on Saturday, March 29. The hugely successful comic scored a particularly memorable sketch in 2012 with "Lincoln," a parody of the actor's show, "Louie." Seth Meyers named it the sketch he was most proud of writing, besides the Sarah Palin spoofs with Tina Fey. "I'm a huge fan of his show," the former "SNL" head writer told Howard Stern. "I sort of floated the idea to Louis, and he really liked it — and in that way that he's so much smarter and better at this than me … he had four or five ideas." The digital short, filmed in black and white, shows the actor doing the same opening as his "Louie" show. But instead of a morose comic, he's the put-upon 16th president, dressed as Abe Lincoln, in stove pipe hat and full facial hair, coming out of the subway, eating pizza, and doing stand-up. His bits include slamming his wife: "My wife is crazy. She's literally, historically insane." He adds that he knows he's "totally getting murdered." Slate named the sketch the "highlight" of the "much anticipated episode." Entertainment Weekly called out the moment as one that "really showcased the comedian's prodigious talent." Fun fact: When Louis C.K. auditioned to be a "SNL" cast member in 1993, he was rejected. We're just glad there are no hard feelings. — Claudine Zap (@zapkidd)
