Ahmed Abu Khattala has denied any role in the attack that killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, and the charges were filed under seal in the United States. A 38 year-old Colorado man accused of plowing his car through crowds at the Venice Beach boardwalk in Los Angeles, killing an Italian woman on her honeymoon and injuring 11 other people, was charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Nathan Louis Campbell, was also charged with 17 counts of hit-and-run. The U.S. government filed two civil lawsuits against Bank of America for what the Justice Department and securities regulators said was a fraud on investors involving $850 million of residential mortgage-backed securities. The Justice Department and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filed the parallel suits in U.S. District Court in Charlotte.
