America’s most well-known undocumented immigrant has been detained by U.S. Border Patrol agents in McAllen, Texas. Jose Antonio Vargas, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and activist who famously outed himself as an undocumented immigrating in a June 2011 essay in New York Times Magazine, was detained trying to leave McAllen, Texas and is currently being taken to the McAllen Border Patrol Station, a representative for the group Define American tells Mashable.
