The actress took on the GOP hopeful in a new interview.
Jennifer Lawrence voiced her opposition to controversial presidential hopeful Donald Trump by deeming his appointment “the end of the world” if he gets elected next year. While promoting her new movie “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” Jennifer and her co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson touched on the topic of Donald’s political endeavors, which they all agree is incomprehensible. “I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now even things like this might just be for entertainment,” Lawrence continues.
As the star of the post-apocalyptic “Hunger Games” franchise, Jennifer Lawrence knows a thing or two about the end of the world. The actress predicts the end of days if Donald Trump wins the presidential election. “If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world,” Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly while promoting “Mockingjay — Part 2,” the final film in the “The Hunger Games” series. She wasn’t the only member of the “Mockingjay” cast that had qualms with Trump’s presidential run. “I’ll back you up on that,” Liam Hemsworth said. “It’s a publicity stunt,” Josh Hutcherson added. “It can’t be real.”
Jennifer Lawrence knows exactly what will happen if a certain tawny-haired Republican becomes president. The Oscar-winner told Entertainment Weekly, "If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world." The actress was backed up by her The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay — Part 2 costars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, who's still in disbelief about Trump's longevity in the race. Lawrence also harbors some disbelief about Trump's run, adding, "I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now even things like this might just be for entertainment. It’s either that or it’s Hillary’s brilliant idea.”
Taron Egerton is signed up for the sequel to Matthew Vaughn's surprise hit and the lead in DiCaprio-produced 'Robin Hood: Origins,' which creates production overlap similar to what Jennifer Lawrence experienced with 'X-Men' and 'The Hunger Games.' The 25-year-old English actor broke big this year with Kingsman: The Secret Service, director Matthew Vaughn's surprise action hit that grossed $412.1 million worldwide. 20th Century Fox, which has a sequel option on Egerton, now wants another installment and is planning a shoot starting in April despite not yet having a script.
