India is known for its diversity that is marked by harmonious relations between people of different communities. Keeping this spirit alive is a 'flower squash making' unit in Bhowali in Nainital district of India's northern state of Uttarakhand. Here women belonging to different faiths work together in complete harmony. 'Rhododendron', or 'Buransh' as it is locally called, is a forest flower which blossoms during the months of March and April in the Himalayan region. The squash made from these flowers is indeed sweet, not just because it is sugary but also as it has the essence of communal harmony.
