The USA crashed out of the World Cup on July 1, despite a heroic effort against Belgium in their second-round clash. After a great display from goalkeeper Tim Howard kept Belgium scoreless, the US went two goals down in extra time, before pulling one back to make for a nail-biting last 15 minutes.
