According to the National Transportation Safety Board, the captain of a Southwest Airlines plane that landed on a collapsing nose gear at LaGuardia Airport took control from the first officer just 400 feet from the ground. Federal investigators found that pilots of the Southwest Airlines jet that crashlanded at New York's LaGuardia Airport in July exchanged control of the plane before landing. Highly radioactive water seeping into the ocean from Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is creating an "emergency" that the operator is struggling to contain, an official from the country's nuclear watchdog said.
