College football may see a dramatic changes in the next year. On April 15, the NCAA’s legislative council approved a proposal that allows Division I schools to provide unlimited meals and snacks to all athletes. The proposal must still be approved by the board of directors which will meet on April 24. The U.S. political battle over the Iran nuclear agreement has gone Hollywood, thanks to a new video strongly backing the deal featuring boldface names from Jack Black and Morgan Freeman to former spy Valerie Plame and Jordan's Queen Noor. The video by the anti-nuclear group Global Zero takes a light-hearted tone, far from the jibes, and insults thrown in Congress between Obama administration officials and Republicans who are skeptical of the deal.
Facebook has had the same policy for years: if you want to sign up for an account you must use your real name and prove it with ID. However, that is now becoming an issue in some countries due to the privacy concerns and complaints it raises. In Germany, the practice has been deemed unacceptable and the social network is being told to allow fake names. The ruling comes from the Hamburg Data Protection Authority after it conducted a review following a complaint from a German woman. he had setup a Facebook account using a false name. Facebook blocked her account, requested ID, and changed her account to use her real name. She did not want this to happen, but the practice was forced upon her by the service.

Kurt Cobain’s widow and daughter are urging a Seattle judge to not release death-scene photos and records that a lawsuit claims will prove the Nirvana frontman was murdered more than 20 years ago. According to the Seattle Times, superior court judge Theresa Doyle will hear arguments Friday over whether to proceed with a trial. Richard Lee, who runs a Seattle public access TV show, sued the city and the Seattle police department for the material he says will show Cobain did not die of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1994. Cobain's daughter, Francis Bean Cobain, wrote to the judge that she had to cope with many personal issues because of her father’s death. Further sensationalizing it through the release of these pictures would cause her and her family "indescribable pain.”
